Last weekend I went to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge to survey the area. It had been a full year since I was there the first time. The area had been severely affected by Hurricane Sandy and many birds lost their sanctuaries. The first time I went I didn't really see any wildlife at all nor any greens. But this time around there were a lot more birds and I'm seeing what plants and trees have survived the storm and what new sprouts are coming back. Nature always finds a way. :)

I'm so glad I caught these two little cuties - they're Western Bluebirds and they're both females. I wish I had a better lens that day but I am sure I will be back.
