Twenty Five

I missed the 10th week of photo of the week but with good reason.
I turned 25 a couple of days ago on the 10th of March. I have been spoiling myself a bit. I am trying to cash in on my birthday week since I don't do much for myself the rest of the year.
This year I did something different - I didn't plan any birthday celebration. I didn't want to go through the trouble of organizing people, places and things. All of that is too exhausting for me now - I don't even know how and why I manage to do that for the past few years. And even though I didn't plan anything, I still bumped into my friends and had an impromptu celebration with no obligations or expectations. It was perfect. I saw the people I wanted to see and the people who cared and remembered reached out to me.
The past year I have learned to know my worth in my personal life as well as professional life. There will always be times when people try to pressure you to settle for less than what you want. I'm not playing that game anymore. End of story.

This is an ongoing project called "Where the World Ends". The light from my bathroom window changes throughout the day and the seasons. It's beautiful and always pleasantly surprising.
