Then and now

I went to Lincoln Center to see The Mannes Orchestra on Tuesday. Every time I hear live music I appreciate it so much more. I think knowing how to play an instrument and sticking with it is talent and dedication.
I was in a band in grade school and I played the flute.
During the show I wondered why I didn't opt for the trumpet because it seems fairly simple with only 3 keys and the sound just depends on how much pressure you blow into it.
During band practice in school the music teacher Ms. Keltz, gave us the look of death and bit her baton hard whenever one of us messed up or if the music didn't sound up to her liking. She was terrifying but in retrospect it is hilarious. I miss those times.

I'm going to see another show tomorrow night!

I started a gardening blog - I am way too excited about Spring and gardening and thought I should keep  one exclusively for my gardening adventures. :) I am such a nerd. Don't care.
